Day One

Hello from Camp!

We have had an incredible day here at Centrifuge!!! God is doing some great things in the lives of your students here. I believe that Transformed Student Ministry was primed and ready for a great week of camp. Coming off of a great week at CRAVE, our middle schoolers were stoked about camp, and our High Schoolers had even more opportunities to invest intentionally in the lives of our middle schoolers as they learn what it means to mentor younger students.

We had quite an early start this morning in the guys dorm. The alarms went off before the normal summer time alarms. 6:00 came early for our students this morning as breakfast started at 8:00. I am wondering if they had simliar meals to what you have for breakfast for your students. If you read this, leave a comment of what your student typically has at your house for breakfast.

This morning, we had a choice of sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, ham biscuits, sausage links, and pancakes. Wow! What a treat!

The morning at camp started with breakfast, then we quickly moved to the AM show to wake all of the students up. Loud music, hoppin' games, sweet skits and awesome videos. From the AM show, the students spread around the campus to have their quiet time with the Lord. It was such an incredible sight to see hundreds of teenagers digging into God's word to start their morning.

Rec time was great fun as students learned their cheers for their respective rec teams. Today, their cheer had to have a "Disney movie" theme. From Recreation, students broke into their Bible Study groups. Today's passage for study was Matthew 13. I am excited about what God is doing in the lives of our students through Bible Study.

Then, each student went to Track times where they got to choose what type of entertaining activity they did for the afternoon.

Tonight marked our first official worship service for the students, and they came ready to dig into God's word. Our camp pastor, Paul brought a message straight from God's word about who Jesus is and challenged them with the question, "What Jesus are you Worshipping?"

We are having a great time! Feel free to email me at breed@firstnorfolk.org with questions, comments, or shout-outs to your student!

Until then,

PEACE!!!

Brandon

I make blueberry pancakes for my student about once a week. Our pancakes are loaded with blueberries just the way we both like them. I can't wait to make them for her on Saturday!

Praying for your guys. Have fun!
